Confused and intimidated by why she was intensely staring at me I growled at her. Despite my warning, she began to move even closer to me, her hand hovering above my head. Patience stretched thin, I backed away and began to bark at her.
“How dare you! I just met you and I couldn’t trust you!” I grumbled as the woman in charge of the store shushed me. Wanting nothing to do with her, I scampered away from her and plopped down on my bed.
I watched as multiple dogs get rubbed in the belly, showing their weakness to her. I huffed, “They are going to regret it.” The old husky sighed and replied,
“Let them have their fun Ace.”

Soon the woman left with a bossy poodle who strutted out of the pet store without any regret.
“She sure had met her match” I chuckled, glad the woman had left with a troublesome dog that could make her nicer. Well until next time. For the special person who will understand me. I thought as the newly owner-dog pair disappeared from my view.
